Missouri - Ozark Mountains Jeep Jamboree - Reviews

Customer Rating 2nd Top-of-the-Ozarks Jeep Jamboree

This Jamboree was located at the Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch, near Seymore Missouri. The scenery was outstanding. It had rained the Wednesday before the start. As you can imagine, there was a lot of mud. But the mud was not too deep--there was traction. I used 29 inch Bridgestone Revos on my 2000 Cherokee and was able to traverse every obstacle. The guides were good. The terrain was challenging at places. All in all it was a lot of fun. We will do it again. By the way, for the scenery I also recommend driving the beautiful highway 14 between the towns of Seymore and Ava, Missouri, near the ranch.

Customer Rating Top of the Ozarks 2007

Over all a great time. The SMOR site and staff were great. The trails were challenging and changed greatly depending on rain and amount of travel. Some trails were repeated which can get old. The guides were first rate and real helpful. They were true off roaders which means that always were willing to take on any challenge if the group agreed. The camping situation was a little rough with only 1 port-a-potty, but they have plans to build facilities next year. But, a lot of room and level site. I would like to see the RV's separated from tents to cut down on generator noise.

Big Negative: COST - not very family friendly. They should go cost per vechle.

This Jamboree was not as well run as the first one we attended. The folks running it were friendy and knew the trails well but they seemed just a bit unorganized. It did rain for the three days so I guess some disorganization is to be expected. Trails were challanging even more so because of the rain. It was still a good time and we will more than likely do this one again

This was my second jamboree, the first one I drove at. I took my newly purchased 3 week old Rubicon and attended the 2005 Jamboree. Coming home with only 3 scratches and one ding in a skid plate.

The Ozark's are one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The Sayer Brook Ranch was a incredible location for this event, around every turn you would see gently rolling hills, the spring trees and flowers in bloom and the Bison with their babies roaming all over.

The staff running this event were patient, organized and knowledgeable.

Skip the owner of the Ranch was a very personable, down to earth person who went out of his way to make sure you were properly cared for.

I would highly recommend this this Jamboree for location and hospitality.

Customer Rating Beautiful private Bison Ranch offers more then you think

The Jamboree was held on a private Bison ranch 4 miles from the lodge that served breakfast and held check in. You spent two days on some great trails. The guides from the Midwest Jeep club were great. If you wanted to make it through an obstacle they saw to it you made it. I will go back next year for sure.
