I've bought many items from jcwhitney over the last 5 years and have never had a problem. Great customer service is rare these days but jcwhitney has it. Now I do my home work on what I buy and make sure its not garbage, but if its a quality part and jcwhitney has it, I'm buying it. Low prices like 12 quarts of Royal Purple for $80 and almost always free shipping. |

I have used JC Whitney now and then for online purchases. I have no complaints so far and have never needed customer service from them. I will use agian if they have what is needed. Only reason I gave them 8 stars instead of 10 is due to pricing, slightly higher than competition. |

the car parts i purchased are a sorry excuse for any product. they are suposed to work up to 6000 lbs. they don't work at any. i already replaced them with some from tractor supply for fifty dollars less and they work great. now i have to spend more money to return them and the free jack that came with them. not a good shopping experience!!!!! |

I ordered some "no name" fender flares from them and they were absolute junk. Didn't fit and looked terrible. A bit of a hassle to return. Then I started getting phone calls from lots of people who wanted to sell me stuff. One of them finally told me that they got "permission" from JC Whitney's mailing list. They are the reason I joined the nation-wide do not call list! |

I ordered several Items for my 03 Sahara including an underseat drawer. When asked if it would fit my 03 they said yes even though it stated 97-02 in their ad (this was a 6 months after the 03 model came out). I had to fight with them to take it back even though it was their fault. The other items were as stated. |

Not Happy With JC Whitney |

I placed an order with JC Whitney consisting of two items. One was backordered, and would be shipped out as soon as they got it in. I was moving in the time between the two shipments, and so I called to have my address changed on the second package. I was told "no problem" by the representative. After a few weeks the item was shipped, except it went to my previous address. I had to track my package across town (it actually got left at another wrong address, I just happened to find it). After finding my package, I called to complain about not updating my address, and I was told outright that it wasn't their fault, even though they had said that they could do it. Because of their VERY POOR customer service, I will never use JC Whitney again. |

I bought my lift kit and fender flares through JC Whitney and had a very poor customer experience. It took over a month for me to receive my initial order (which ended up missing some control arms that I was told were included). To make a long story short, it took me about 2 months to receive my complete shipment.
If you order a big item through JC Whitney (not recommended) be aware that they don't keep stock on some items. For some of the big items (like lift kits), they forward your order onto the manufacturer and this can add significant time to the ship date (this is hidden in the fine print).
In the past, I purchased small items from the JC Whitney catalog and never had any problems. I was shocked at the lack of response I received from customer service on my $800+ order though...this experience soured me and I won't be purchasing through them again. |
