2007 Big Bear Jamboree

The Jamboree is definitely worth the price! Staff is excellent - food great - and trails challenging. I drove 1200 miles to get there and it was worth the time. Only sacrificed an aftermarket back up light to the Rock Gods! Gasoline prices were a bit of a shock.

Had a great time. Admission price was on the steep end, however the food provided and the raffle seemed to make up for the monies spent.
Having access to private off-road trails and the skilled staff helped make this trip worth the price.

Staffing was excellent; friendly, helpful, informative, and very supportive (considering we were first timers needing our fair share of help). The trip truely helped me better appreciate the wonderful capabilities of my jeep wrangler, I cant wait to go again this year. I was dissapointed in last years dusty conditions but the jeep looks great come mud or shine. I was still cleaning out dust 3 months later. I found the trails challenged my nerves and driving skills. More than once my heart was beating through my chest while the hair on my neck stood at attention as the wrangler balanced on precariously placed rocks along the clifside. Its fun getting stuck in the mud. Its even more fun to help get your fellow jeepers out from a tight spot.

All of the attending jeepers were very friendly and were quick to partake in conversations (jeep related or not). We were lucky to have had a jamboree so close to our home considering some people drove for days in order to partake.

Considering all the jeeps I see in the L.A. area, I am suprised there are not more local's signing up. If your from the L.A. area, I hope my review interested you enough to sign up this year. Look for me, my buddy LT, our dog Winchester and my red 2004 Rubicon and say hello :)

Excellent Experience

Both the Jeep Jamboree personnel and the local club providing support were excellent. Great time was enjoyed.

Pricing is rather high, as the charge is per person and not per Jeep, which will limit the number of Jamborees attended. Food is included so per person charge is ok - but needs to be maybe a base charge to attend, with a smaller upcharge for each add'l attendee.
