If you own a Jeep you owe it to yourself to attend this event in 2008. What a sight to see 2,500 Jeeps carring 11,000 people to one common sight for 3 days of fun. My wife and I have already committed to attend Camp Jeep 2008. A opportunity for pre-registration would have been great for the 2008 event.

Customer Rating 3rd Time Attending Camp Jeep

Camp Jeep 2007 was the most attended Camp Jeep ever. It was held at the Oak Ridge Estates in Nelson County (Lovingston) July 26 - 28, 2007.
We have attended 2 other Camp Jeeps (2005 Pocono Mtns, PA and 2006 Elkhart Lake, WI) and this was the closest to where we live in Florida.
Everyone who owns a Jeep should attend. This is a FAMILY event with plenty of actvities for ALL AGES.

The trail rides were awesome and there was plenty of obstacles/challenges for any experience level.
On an intermediate trail, a very experienced/modified Jeeper quickly got stuck in the mud while many a novice made it through. Goes to show that any trail can have challenges.
Hope to see you at the next Camp Jeep.

Good for the beginner offroaders but not for the experienced among us.

Customer Rating every Jeeper should attend at least once

I attended Camp Jeep 2003 in VA. My wife and I had a real nice time. There are many things to do other than than just off roading. There are special programs, mountain biking, kayaking, paintball, rock climing, GPS tours, etc. If you are looking for a hard core off roading trip, then Camp Jeep isn't for you. The trail rides are short and not real difficult. They are, however, nice trails for beginners. Camp Jeep isn't really about the trail rides, it is more about all of the other stuff and hanging out with thousands of people with similar interests. Pulling into a parking lot with about 6000 other Jeeps is an awesome feeling. I think the $350 per Jeep fee is well worth it. I would recommend that every Jeeper attend at least one Camp Jeep. I plan to attend many more in the future.

Customer Rating Good Time, but Long Lines

The 2004 Camp Jeep was the first official Jeep outing that my wife and I attended. Overall, a very interesting event with lots to do for the entire family. They had everything onsite from wheeling to skateboarding. The trails were generally intersting, and the trail guides where generally quite knowledgeable.

On the downside, the lines were horrible. You had to sign up in advance to do pretty much everything. The events filled up fast, so you spend the first part of every morning running around trying to sign up for the next day's events. Another real complaint I have is that the non-trail ride events generally ran late. So by the time you finished one event, you were already too late to attend another event you had signed up for.

Another complaint I have relates to signing up for the trails you want to run. They basically had three categories, beginning, intermediate, and advanced. Within each category were several trails denoted by different letters. The problem is that you didn't have any descriptions of the different trails to look at when trying to decide the ones you wanted to do. You basically pick the category based on your Jeep's capabilities, then blindly pick the trails within the category that you want to go on.

Overall, we will probably attend again...but I hope they do something about the lines.
