A 98 TJ with an auto tranny, RR deep pan and no factory protection was trouble waiting to happen! I have been using the Skid Row skid plate for about 6 months and would not have anything else. Extremly strong and very easy to install. I have yet to change the tranny fluid and filter since the install, could be a challenge, but very much worth the protection you get. |

The Skid Row Engine skid was my first mod to my 2003 Rubicon. It was an easy install and has held up nicely over the years. My jeep has been perched on the skid on rocks with no ill effect. I have it bolted to a rockcrawler xfer case skid and that is working our well. If I ever get another jeep, this will be my first mod again. Money well spent! |

This skid is good. It covers everything from your transfercase skid to about your lower control arms, that is if you run short arms. Mine has taken a beating and keeps goin. I only have 33's and ARB's but i usually wheel with guys with 35-39's and some are NEUROC competition rigs. Mine has bent upward slightly, but it has been beat up time and time again. I would buy another. The amount of coverage is nice. |

I ran the Skid Row engine skid for several months and bashed it substantially. All that happened was some minor scratches and dings. Install was pretty straight forward. The SR provides a substantial amount of coverage and protection for the price. I recently took it off when I installed my Nth Degree TT. At that time I did not know I could fab it up to the TT. Had I known that I never would have sold the thing, it was awesome, I loved it. Great product. |

The skid row plate is extremely beefy and I like the fact it works with my transfer case drop with no modifications. |

The skid row engine skid is a very solid unit. The 3/16th plate protects all the way from the exhaust pipe around the front of the oil pan back to the transfer case skid plate.
To make it easy to change oil I just cut down a small plastic funnel and use that between the plug and the plate itself.
Skid row makes a quality product with a great design. |

I've been very happy with my Skid Row engine skid so far. The plate is super beefy and protects quite a large area underneath my Jeep (compared to smaller oil pan skids). The powder coat on mine has also weathered the elements much better than some other items on my Jeep.
My only complaint with this skid is that changing the oil can be a bit messy. I'm thinking about investing in one of those oil drain valves with the plastic tube attached (should fix the issue). I would definitely purchase this product again. |
