These suckers are definitely beefy. My mom has trouble getting into my jeep, so my dad offered to buy me the Mopar steps. I knew I'd beat those to death so I looked around and found these. They make a great step and provide protection! One suggestion, if you get the diamond plated ones, spray undercoat or POR15 on the welds and underside to prevent rust. |

These are some massive skids. I am really happy with the skids thus far. The welds all appear to be top quality, and fit perfectly onto the frame of the Jeep. Only problem I had was that I had to relocate two brake line holders, which were in the exact places where the skid sandwiches the frame. No problem a little epoxy couldn't fix. |

Solid well made product that I would buy again. The only reason for a 9 and not 10 was some weld spatter that I had to remove. This is an aesthetics only issue. |

Solid protection, no drilling required |

I've had my Jeeperman Trail Skidz on my Jeep for a while now and I'm very happy with them. I wanted a rocker guard that didn't require drilling through my body tub to install. Install on these was fairly easy and they're very sturdy.
Some will complain of the loss of clearance due to frame-mounted rocker guards, but I haven't run into any problems on my "moderate" wheeling trips (I'm not a champion rockcrawler here). The skids have saved me on a couple of big rocks, and the wife likes to use them as a step too (bonus!).
My only complaint is with the powder coating, mine started to chip off fairly quickly. If I had to do it again, I would have ordered them bare and painted them myself. Otherwise, the product is great and I would definitely buy again! |
