Great overall tires. Tough as nails, roadworthy and they last a long time.

Customer Rating Amazing Tire!

I got Firestone Destination M/Ts for my Chevy S10 about 5 months ago and I am very impressed with them! The second day I had them, two feet of snow fell on top of the foot of snow we already had and I decided to test them. There was a parking lot that had not been plowed and the snow was up to my bumper, but I still made it through with no problem. I have had it buried up to the frame in mud and stopped, got out, and still had no problem crawling right out of the hole. The only thing I dont like about them is the treads are starting to chunk off on the sidewalls a bit. Still handles any situation I throw at them including highway conditions better than my old Goodyear Wrangler RT/Ss (Crap tire!)

Customer Rating Best tires ever BUT I have problems

I have a 02 Wrangler Sport. Bought a set of five MTs 16 months ago and now have 30K miles. They perform great in snow, rain, you name it. The problem I have is that all the tread is gone. These tires could not pass inspection. Turns out I am having a Firestone station look at them to see what went wrong next week. Will report results. I would buy these again but before I do i need to know why these tires are spent. Most of my driving is highway, rotate often, no mechanical problems. I live in a rural area where these tires are ideal for and again so far they have performed well they just look like I have 85k miles on them.

Customer Rating Best tire out of all that i have owned

After 10 yrs of wheeling and trying many tires these are by far the best. Air them down to 10 psi, hit the trail and they crawl rocks like crazy. No problem in mud and their even good going down the highway.

Customer Rating The best tires I have ever owned.

I have had these tires for 40,000 miles now and they have performed great. I have mostly driven them on pavement (as i live in the midwest)and I am most impressed with the tread wear. Although, I have been off road more then a dozen times and each time they exceeded my expectations. They still have at least 20,000 more miles left on them and I would definitely purchase them again!

Best tire I've owned. Not loud on the road, and grips great on loose ground. I'll buy them as long as they make em.

Customer Rating Simply The Best...PERIOD

I have these tires on my 87 Wrangler(33x12.5's) and I have them on my 95 XJ(31's).

I just bought a Rubicon last week.Today was the first day in the mud with it,some pretty nasty mud at that.I have BF MT's on the Rubicon.

There is no comparison. My wife was driving the 87 and she walked right on by me in the swamp,I was spinning and walking and everything else.

The Firestones are easily the best mud tires I have ever had. Great on pavement, exceptional in the mud, not bad on the rocks. To top it all off the have hardly worn after 7000 miles.

A great tire, I am buying 5 more for the Rubicon...ASAP!

Customer Rating Even good on a blow out
Date: Jul 02, 2007
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Georgia)
Being offroad all day for construction purposes I bought Destination Mt tires. Little did I know that at 85 mph having a blow out on the expressway we could ride the siedwalls until we slowed down to pull into the median and change the tire. The rim was not damaged or did it ever hit the ground. The tire seperated into three peices, 2 sidewalls and 1 complete center tread still together in a circle. Needless to say I will buy another set. In the mud, they are equally as impressive, good traction especially when towing large equipment trailers with my F 350.

Customer Rating OK on pavement and gravel, but not great in mud.

I had these tires on my 2000 Cherokee for over a year and nearly 20,000 miles--many highway miles, but also muddy roads and off road. I thought they had adequate dry traction and a relatively smooth and quiet ride for MT tires. However the mud traction was not as good as the Firestone Destination LE (highway tires) they replaced. The the MTs clogged with mud quickly. I would get little or no lateral traction when mud packed. I feel the big-lug design, while cool looking, is not right for mud-roads or damp off-roading.

Customer Rating Great tires

These tires are deffinately what they are advertised as a mud tire. They have held up in the rocks and absolutely excel in the mud. On the downside, the tread chunks easily and they are a nightmare in icy conditions or on packed snow. Would I buy these tires again? Definately. As a mud tire they are great, they are quiet, they handle well and they look great.

I've had my Firestone's for about 2 months now and I can honestly say these are the best mud terrain tire on the market. These tires have pulled me through mud holes that all terrains dont even think about.I have about 1,000 miles on them so far and I plan on buying them again.

Customer Rating Taken me where my MT/R's wouldn't

Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (East Lansing, MI)
I live in Michigan, so granted the terrain is generally muddy forest roads and some rocks, but nothing sharp. These tires are simply amazing. They're super quiet, but they get outstanding traction. This weekend, I drove down a trail that was very muddy, where my skid was maybe an inch from getting me high-centered. The tires pulled me through without issues, and I never locked in 4 wheel. The lugs will walk when you slow down, but none the less, a great tire.

Customer Rating Decent Replacements
Date: Nov 05, 2005
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (San Diego, CA)
I puntured two of my OEM tires after only 23K miles and bought these as a replacement set. The Original Tires wore out TOO quickly. Wrangler Jeeps are great but Wrangler Tires stink! These look and ride nice.
