Mickey Thompson Classic Lock Wheels - Reviews

Customer Rating Great Flying Bolts

Ha Ha if you take the bolts loose to clean these make sure you tighten all of them back up lol. Good wheel they were on the jeep when I bought it. I would never have bought them though. Real big pain to clean atleast a hour a wheel and less than a week they look like well not to good. Just don't understand the point of a simulated beadlock may keep some rocks out but what is the point.

I bought these wheels for my 2002 tj and loved them at first. i got the rings powder coated black and they looked even better. after the first snow they were discolored and pitted. i did shine them up (took about an hour per wheel) and in no time they looked bad again. i am looking for new chrome wheels as we speak and wouldn't recommend these to anyone.

Customer Rating Nice looking wheel, needs regular attention

I will second what the previous post said. I, too, live in Hawaii, and needed to wash these things every week to counter the pitting. I had these on an 89 YJ with 33's, and I went away for 6 months, came back to find them pretty badly damaged. I managed to bring them back to almost new with some elbow grease. Bottom line, great looking wheel, needs to be washed regularly.

Customer Rating Good Wheel

Overall, good wheel. Good looks and pretty tough, durability wise. My only complaint is the finish needs fairly regular attention. I live in Hawaii and the salt in the air is a menace to vehicles, and the wheels are no exception. After a few months, the wheels started to pit, and the finish dulled quite a bit. Other than that a great looking wheel.

Advice: If you live in coastal environment, take extra care to wash and scrub these weekly or bi-weekly at a minimum.
