I Love this winch it has saved me many of time's it works great. I only give it a Nine rating because of the Powder coating which flakes off of the winch and fades over time and that the Pin's that hook up you remote cable rust away. To thin of a design on warn's part. Other than that it's a great winch

I have had this on my 99 Dodge Ram truck for a year and a half now and it has pulled me, and countless others out on various times. I would keep it covered to keep water out of the control box, but besides that great winch for the price.

This is a great winch. Ive had for about 3 years, i pulled my self out 4 times, buddys jeep twice, a dodge 1ton, sami, trees, and even anligemnt machine. It has never failed!!! But i wish warn gave me more winch line. And it would nice if the solinode was sealed. other than that great product!

The first week i owned it i pulled out my friend's lifted dodge 2500 diesel, on the second i pulled another friend out of 1.5 feet of mud and up a 45deg incline and onto the road. i've never had a single hitch with this winch i highly recomed it.

Picked up this winch a few months back and have used it once since purchase and its amazing. I pulled out a 1981 dodge 1/2 ton that was practically sideways in a ditch. It did take a while (only cause the jeep is so light that the winch kept pullin me towards the truck and not the other way around) but the winch took the abuse for about 30 minutes and never once cried. With a rating at 8000 lbs that's all I think you'll ever need and for the price it beats all the other winches out on the market. I'll never go any less then a Warn. I do recommend buying a synthetic line. Other than that its a grade "A" product.

This winch is def. money well spent. I was going to purchase a tabor winch until i saw one in use! The tabor winch lacks power and has the slowest line speed of any winch i have ever seen. So basicly the little extra money you spend to go with any warn winch. I have this winch on 3 of my vehicles and use them frequently and none of them have ever failed me.

This winch has gotten me out of a few jams. Although a weeker winch it still does a good job of pulling. It's very simplistic, and has stood up to the weather for quite a while.

Ive had this winch over a year. Been stuck on the beach, in the mud. And ive pulled my self out with a little help from a tree, and a poll. Also used my winch to pull up a micro lamb on a construction site once. Great product. Warn your the best.

Customer Rating Very Tough

I have had this winch for over 2 years now and use it on an almost day to day basis. I work in construction and pull temporary power poles out of the ground with it. I Have also used it many times for myself while 4 wheeling and used it to pull many people out.

I think the best night I had though I used the winch to pull out 2 Dodge dually Diesels a Bobcat and a Tractor! Yes I had to strap my Rubicon to different trees to do it, and the M8000 did grunt while trying to pull out those heavy trucks, it worked great and still does to this day.

Customer Rating Does the job...

Only used it in two instances. Once to pull my wife out of a mud hole (yes, she was in the jeep at the time!), and another to pull some small stumps, just for fun.

The real question is: Should I go with an inexpensive winch now, or wait until I can afford a big fancy one?

Well... In the times that I've been stuck, (and wished I had a winch) I've always been a foot or two away from being free... Almost any winch can get you that far if you use your brain!

Go for the $500 solution. It works fine!

The reiable brand "Warn" speaks for my product. I can rely on my M8000 to work through the toughest! Although I do not like the fact that they only give you half a foot of cable to mount the "brain" from the winch.
