33's on TJ
Date: Oct 05, 2009

Bought these as part of a package deal. If the weather is nice and dry outside, these tires are great. Once the road gets alittle wet though be prepared to stop(or attempt to stop) earlier as these tires are not good on wet pavement. Off road they are great, just avoid peagravel as they sink right into it.

Procomp mud terrain review

Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Utica, New York)

To be honest i hope i dont affend anyone but these tires seriously suck. If you look at a stick or rock the wrong way you will punture them. My tires have about eighty percent tread left and are very new and between three tires i have probably ten plugs. Three side wall plugs in one. They are not that great in the mud or the rocks and they suck in snow deeper that a few inches. And they dont look like im gonna get very good mileage at all out of them. Buy something stronger if your acutally goin wheeling.

Good tire for all around
Date: Jul 12, 2008
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Fort nelson bc)

I drive a 77 gmc 3/4ton 4x4 350cin 205 transfer case with about 300 hp. I use these tires for getting firewood, hauling a camper trailer, horse trailer and mostly just playing around. There is no wear issue with the tires hauling on pavement or gravel and they throw gobs of mud in clay or swamp. Although if going in clay be prepared to see rock chips.

Sticky short life by RubiBlu

Pro Comp Extreme Mud Terrains
33x12.5x15R. Very quiet mud terrain tire with excellent road manners, with one exception, they are wearing very quickly. One year, 12,500 miles and halfway to the end! Tires are stiff on the ride, but grippy on the rocks in Colorado and Utah. Snow and ice, not so good (sipes have worn away).

Outer tread has chunked out in several places.
Day three of ownership a 4" long x 3/8" diameter bolts lodged through one lug and halfway through another, exposing steel belt. Never lost an ounce of air. One tough tire... Will likely convert to MT MTZ or Goodyear MTR for Unlimited Rubicon...

35 x 12.5 R 15 pro comp mud terrains
Date: Jun 02, 2007
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Illinois)

I really liked these tires until this past week. Went wheelin' three days at Turkey Bay in KY and on the third day blew two of them. The first one I would have to take some responsibility for (hit a tree root that was in the perfect position and angle to puncture the sidewall.

The second, I merely brushed against the root ball of a fallen tree and it sliced the sidewall. I have been wheeling for about 4 years now and have never blown a tire till I blew two in one day.

I agree that that they ride well are quiet and have good street manners but I am concerned that a lack of sidewall strength is an issue.

Great Tires

These tires are a little bumpy on the road, but all around great tire. In mud, they are strictly amazing.

Great tires on street and offroad
Date: Jun 12, 2006
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Greensboro, NC)

had 32" pro comp mud terrains on my yj with a 4" rough country lift. They did great in the nc mud. i have about 10000 miles on them and still have well over 1/2" of tread left. i drive on these tires everyday to school, work , and offroad. they have never let me down and do well in all street conditions. do well in rain. they clean decent in the mud but they do get the job done. highly reconmended.

Great Tires
Date: Oct 31, 2005
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Orange CA)

I have the 35 inchers mounted on a 2003 Rubicon. I have now put just over 15K on the tires... AND I LOVE THEM. I had Goodyear MTR on before and they would often pick and throw lots of stones. The ProComp tires do not have this bad habit. The lugs are beveled so the stones simply fall out. They are wearing well and the road noise is fair. They are a harder compond than the MTR and don't nealy cut as easy. With the buy 3, get one free... how can you go wrong. (BTW, these are made by Cooper for ProComp)

All Around Good Tire
Date: Jul 01, 2005
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (WA)

I have a set of 31X12.50S on my YJ. I use my Jeep for recreation plus the cummute to work. It stops good on wet roads and also very good in the mud. If you use your Jeep/trucks for more than just the offroad, this is the tire you gotta have!

great

Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Colton, CA)

Great for street and mud. I work in a park and drive on dirt and gravel roads. Watch-out for flying rocks coming out of your tires. When you get on pavement at around 35, rocks start flying. Go slow for a mile or so, so you don't hurt anyone. Gravel roads are not for any mud tire. Hope this helps you. I like the mud Pro Comp tire and it is made by Cooper tire Company, that's one of the top Companys in tires.

Well worth the $$$'s
Date: May 01, 2005
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Little Rock, AR)

I have had these on my TJ for about 14,000k. They are wearing very well. I have had them on all types of terrain except hardcore rocks and sand. Mainly the stuff at the Superlift Park in Hot Springs, AR. One of the best things about these tires is how quiet they are at hwy speeds on pavement. A great tire at a great price. You can pick these up 4 for the price of 3 around spring time (I think) every year.

Work Well
Date: Jan 02, 2005
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (San Diego, CA)

Have a set of 30" x 9.5" on my YJ with just a bit of lift. Usage is light off-roading and daily commute to work. Quiet on-road and good ride. Off-road they do well for me in both rocks and mud. No problems.
