Banks Ram Air Intake System - Reviews

Customer Rating Keep putting it off

I really like my new intake. I kept putting it off, because of some wrangler forums said it wasn't worth it. But after installing mine I noice a better throttle response. Its not hard to installed, but with a throttle body spacer you might have to modify the tube that goes in to the throttle body (just shortin it) so that it will clear the hood. I like the banks intake better than other cai because it protects the filter better. As far as gas mileage goes. I don't know. If any thing ealse, I like the sound.

Awesome air intake system from Banks! Installs in less than half an hour with no hassle, everything drops right into place and the parts are high quality. This intake looks aggressive with its 4" tubing and the "Banks Power" exterior decals are a sweet bonus. Right away you notice an added growl when you step on the gas and there is definitely a "seat of your pants" improvement in acceleration. I can't speak for any gas mileage improvements yet, I'm still having too much fun smashing the pedal to the floor at every green light! I highly recommend this air intake! Next up for me will be a Banks high flow cat-back exhaust system.. all that extra air has to get out somehow =D

The intake tube is HUGE, more air than you'll ever need. You can hear it and you can feel it. This is the first time I installed an intake by itself and actually felt the power increase. After a long day of wheeling, my entire engine bay was covered in mud and even the Banks airbox, but the way they positioned the intake hole... I had 2 specks of dirt on the air filter. You can't go wrong with the Banks Ram Air. You won't be disappointed.

$270 online. bolted on extra horses that are instantly noticeable. Mileage went up between 1.5 and 2 miles per gallon on my 01 TJ w/ 4" suspension lift on 33s. It will pay for itself. This should be the first thing you buy to upgrade your TJ

I recently purchased this system and coupled it with the Banks Torque tube header and monster exhaust system. I have never been happier with the performance of banks system. There is no hesitation whatsoever on take off.

I Put the Banks ram air intake in my 04 Rubi myself. It tock me about 25mins. It was very easy and went and fit well. The only thing I wish the kit would have supplied is new hardware for the air box instead of makeing you use the old stuff. during the test drive I noticed a very good "seat of your pants" improvment. It also sounded awsome!!! I have no need for a cat-back now. This performance mod has made the most differince, out of my Four other jeep projects. hats off to banks.
