First, I gave them an 8 b/c I have not taken them off road, so I do not have anything to gauge them by in that spectrum.
Second, I drove to Pa. to meet Zach and have him custom cut the guards since I have a 2006 LJ. He was happy to do this for me, for free, as I wanted the "Unlimited" logo viewed. Zach was super awesome to work with and averages 40 - 50 guards shipped a week.
Third, the installation of the guards was a cinch. Nothing complicated. The only thing I did different from the stock directions was to cut the underside bolts down so they did not protrude far into the cabin.
Finally, If you are looking for a superb pair of rocker guards, get them from Zach at AtoZ fabrication. Superior quality, easy installation, made in the free world (USA) by a great guy and these things are heavy duty, approximately 80 lbs. |

Zach (owner of AtoZ Fab) is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He even sent out an "AtoZ" plate step for the rockers after the sale. Really well-made and really looks good in the diamond plate finish. |

Well designed, manufactured. Lost a star because of the powdercoat finish...it has a chip after a year in a place that hasn't been hit on objects. The rocks and trees they hit haven't left a scratch though. |

Got mine thru Quadratech, shipped direct from A-Z. Unpainted saved $50. Had to file corners a little and there's a little hole in a weld on the step tube. Came down hard on a rock and I can't even tell where it hit! Highly recommended |

I bought the LJ (TJ Unlimited) version of the rocker guards with a reversed tube step to help my kids get in the Jeep. Zach was very helpful in solving my problem and quickly jumped on the guards and I had them at my door in less than a week (unfinished). I had them Line-X coated and they look great.
I deducted a star because two of the underside mounting holes are unusable, leaving only two bolts for the underside instead of four. Exacerbating the situation, the hole identified in the instructions will have you drilling through the front drainhole flange.
All in all, I'd buy from AtoZ again, great quality with only a couple of minor details that aren't quite perfect. |

Clean looking, 3/16 inch thick, offer plenty of protection on the side and under the jeep. flush mounted bolts. mounting hardware included
-they can take some serious abuse and hold up like its nothing. I have not been able to bend/dent them in the years I have owned them. |

I fell off an abstacle with my drivers side tire and free falled about 4 feet on to the front corner of the rocker and it pushed the rocker and all into the body.about $1500 damage but would have been much worse without the a to z guards.the guard was bent a little at the front corner but took the blunt of a very hard hit.If I would have been tied into the frame or had floor supports it would prob have absorbed the whole hit with no damage.body is all fixed and the same rockers are going back on the jeep,with a little extra support this time |

Best deal out there for tub mounted rockers |

Running these on my '03 Rubicon for over one year now. They have held up to some very hard hits with no damage to the tub. Zach is willing to customize to your specs if needed. Mine were pre-drilled and primered and went on with zero problems as everything lined up as it should. I have the rounded tubes and they are easily useable as steps for the girlfriend once I added some skateboard grip tape. |
