Rubicon Express Sway Bar Quick Disconnects - Reviews

Customer Rating Do Not Provide Adequate Clearance for Steering

The Gen II JK sway bar disconnects interfere with steering. At full lock your tires will actually rip the disconnect of of the stub used to support the disconnect (and thus the sway bar). I have worked with my local store/installer and the engineers at Rubicon Express to no avail. This issue us EASILY replicated and the geometry of the problem is easily seen. An engineering failure, pure and simple. They look good in the pictures, they look good on the JK, they're just NON-FUNCTIONAL

Make sure you use Loctite when you install and they will work flawlessly.

Customer Rating Gen 1 Disco's

Like the style and function of the disco's, however if your disconnecting them often I would opt for the Gen 2 style. Everything was easy to install despite not having the right bolts included with the adapters to actually mount to the swaybar. Was fixed with M10 1.5 bolts from Lowe's, added an hour to the install. My only reason for the 7 stars.

Mine came with my lift kit and I like them. The quality of workmanship and parts is first rate. The only short coming I have is once you disconnect them you dont have anywhere to secure them. Some of the other brands come with pins to mount them to or a strap to tie them up with.

I'm running the RE Gen II discos. I have had them installed for about several months. They are very easy to use. I like the fact that they are adjustable to accomedate a couple different ride heights, I started out using them at stock height and am now at 3 1/4" lift and I have not had to change discos. The ball joint at the top makes it easy to articulate them to position them on their mounting stud above the spring perch. I would buy RE discos again.
